Thumbs up Available to adopt a dreamer

      Hello!

Are you looking for a mentor? I am looking for one or two people to "adopt."

Here's what I'd expect my ideal adoptee to be like:
      1. You are 17 years old or older.
      2. You believe you have some potential for lucid dreaming but have had limited experience.
      3. You are a good communicator and don't have a problem sharing your emotions.
      4. You have a deep enough and long-lasting enough appreciation of the subject that you expect to be interested for the foreseeable future. (This won't be a passing fad for you).
      5. You have healthy skepticism and a critical logical mind -- you think for yourself and keep an open mind.
      6. You do not attach the subject of lucid dreaming to mystical practices, religion, or the paranormal. You take it for what it is: the subconscious, dreaming, brainwork, entertainment, and inner-reflection.
      7. You do not suffer from severe depression, schizophrenia, or anything that might impair our communication and focus on lucid dreaming.
      8. Artistic types are especially appreciated.

      About Me
I am a 43-year-old composer/musician. I am married and live with my wife of four years with our two cats. I'm a programmer by day, and spend most of my free time writing music.

I had my first lucid dream 10 or 15 years ago after seeing a program on television about it. At first they were very rare, but eventually they started coming more often. I most typically LD via the DILD technique, but have had a few WILDs from time to time. My DILDs are often instant flashes of realization, as opposed to using a reality-check, thought I've been trying more and more lately to remember those checks.

I am agnostic with strong leanings towards atheism. I mention this only in case this is a problem for you. (It does not bother me if you believe in God.) I also do not believe in shared-dreaming, though I'd love for it to be possible.

I am friendly, like to be helpful, and am very easy to talk to. Until very recently, I was the only person I knew who had ever had a lucid dream, so I am very excited by the prospect of sharing the experiences with others. If you think you'd like to be "adopted," and that I'd make a good mentor for you, please send me a private message, and let's start talking!

      - Jamie
