Tell me about when you have been threatened with death.

I think this could make for some interesting accounts.

I've had a knife shoved in my stomach once; but living in England, things aren't all that bad.

Anyone else anything theyd like to share?

I was on a boating holiday and threw down the anchor not noticing that the rope was wrapped around my ankle. Needless to saw it dragged me overboard, but some how I managed to grab the rail and hold on till someone came and saved me. God knows how I managed to react so quickly, but fortunately with the anchor being in the water, it was made lighter so was able to hang on for my life.

I almost drown in a swimming pool once too, usual really, in too deep, some guy noticed and saved me.

Was driving to work last year and coming over the brow of this hill, and doing just over the 70mph speed limit and the traffic was stationary on the other side, I had like .5 seconds to react and managed to move into the other lane which was free, othere wise me and the others in the car would have been dead for sure, hitting another car at 70mph - would have been lucky to walk away from that.

There was this other brush with drugs about 8 years ago, but don't want to go there.

Can't think of any others right now though.

I did mean actually threatened by someone, somehow; but its cool.

Ah sorry but, read the title as threatened, in general. Anyway, I don't think I have been from what I can remember.

Do you mean actually stabbing or the knife being put to your stomach and being mugged?

Also which city or county if that's ok. Nottinghamshire by any chance...

a few times with knifes

1) I was walking back from the shop one time during school and a chav from my year came up behind me and grabed me across the face and held a knife to my throat.

He mentioned something about how I was a freak or something and a few more threats etc threw me down and ran off

2) Someone I know got totally drunk once and wanted to "teach" us about reality. I was standing infront of my family trying to protect them and he was going mad shouting saying he was gonna kill me and waving the knife in my face.... very scary

There have been a few other times but I dont think they were meant litreally like the above 2. I have been beaten many a time of chavs where they say they will kill me but I think thats more of a empty threat

When I was tiny, I fell into a pool and nearly drowned. It is one of my earliest memories.

As a teen, I once had a gun held at my head. I also took a 440 volt shock that left burns on the bottoms of my feet.

At 25 years old, I fell off a cliff. By an absolute miracle, I never hit my head on anything. My back was broken (S4 and S5) and my pelvis split.

It wasn't all that high - a bit under 30 feet... but high enough to do serious damage. Rock cliff with bedrock bottom.

Where is Grand Ledge, Michigan. I fell into the Grand River gorge - they had to strap me on a board and float me out on the river to where they could get me to a waiting ambulance.

Why... I was climbing without proper equipment and misjudged. I did fine until the very top and couldn't get over, hung on until I was too tired and finally had to let go.

When was 1986.

Only once.

I'll only brief it.

I provoked somebody. The gave chase with a katana (samurai sword) threatening to slice off my head. Fortunately, I locked that person outside. But I still heard their heavy breathing and voice muttering "Come out Tam... If you come out I won't hurt you..." *harsh breathing*

I was totally freaked out and cried uncontrollably.

Hopefully never again.

When I was in Vietnam, 20 crazy kongoes attacked me with AKM-47s. I think they threw 3 fragnades and then shot a lot. Fortunately, I grabbed a dead body, and covered myself, playing dead afterwards.
